In Accessories, Men's Fashion, Style on December 3, 2009 at 10:33 am

LV Graphite Damier Collection

I’ve been searching for a good wallet, something that holds my essentials (Debit Card, AmEx, Drivers License and Cash). I was with my good friend Lucky at the Greene Street LV store and we ran into this beauty. Compact, sleek, thin, good-sized and honest to god, there’s no way you can make a mess of your contents with it. So if you’re in the market for a new wallet, take a look into it. LV also has many other items in their Graphite Damier Collection worth looking into as well. It’s December, make good use of that bonus gentlemen!

[.02] Fragrance

In Accessories, Culture, Men's Fashion, Style on December 3, 2009 at 9:52 am

It's all in the fragrance

Cologne? Perfume? Nothing different. They’re both fragrance. Fragrance is a product of marketing. Men often deal with an identity crisis in which they need their manliness to be reassured. Just look at most grooming products, there’s almost always a Men and Women’s branding of one product that essentially performs identically. Deodorant, shaving razors, shampoos, hair dyes. Fragrance should not be a product of masculinity, if you smell good then you smell good. I myself carry two fragrances from Jo Malone and this winter I am currently wearing D&G’s La Roue De La Fortune 10 which is a floral scent. Fragrance is all about personality, Which is why I prefer a consistency amongst my fragrances. I mean… How many personalities do you own? Gentlemen, we all know what a man smells and can smell like… naturally. There’s no designer out there trying to capture that essence. In fact, avoiding that is the whole point. So stop fretting over the marketing side of it all and go back to what’s important. Smelling good.

I’ll be releasing an extensive guide to identifying and purchasing fragrances. Stay tuned!

[Endorsed] Uniqlo HeatTech Shirts

Uniqlo HeatTech Shirts

I love Uniqlo. But my latest guilty pleasure is their line of HeatTech products, mainly their shirts. These things are great. Smooth on the skin, lightweight, retains heat but keeps your body climate at a comfortable level. They’re great to sleep in as well! And as always like all Uniqlo products, available in multiple colors and patterns!

[Upgrade] Hunter Boot > Wellingtons

In Accessories, Clothing, Men's Fashion, Style on December 2, 2009 at 4:57 am

Hunter Neoprene Regent

Move over Wellingtons, I’m tired of that … tired look. Fashion and Functionality. As a New Yorker, we often have to sacrifice one for the other; sadly when it comes to the rain it’s quite hard to tackle Fashion. But now with Hunter’s new line of boots liek the above Neoprene Regent boot, look forward to wearing them in pride. Either tucked under your dress pant or over them, these boots are great! Happy galoshing gentlemen!

[Endorsed] Davines Invisible Paste

In Accessories, Style on July 8, 2008 at 11:25 am

So I was spending the day with my lovely sister and she was telling me about her trip to ave a haircut. So… she went to 19th street in Manhattan to get her hair cut by the Creative director at Vidal Sassoon, she look s fabulous by the way. But I think the best part that came out of it was the hair product she discovered there.

Davines Invisible Paste (or Invisible Pasta). She loved it, and introduced it to me. For those of you who don’t know I sport a faux-hawk 90% out of the time. I tried a bit of this stuff, my god, it is amazing.  I can’t begin to describe it, I’m talking flexibility, control and it makes your hair defy reason without becoming untouchable. It’s a miracle product.

Davines also carries many other hair products which I will be looking into and informing you readers soon in the near future!

You should check it out!

[Must Have] Collar Stays

In Accessories, Style on May 30, 2008 at 2:49 pm

Collar Stays aka Collar Bones, Collar Tabs or known as Collar Stiffeners in the UK.

Your dress shirt should be crisp, sparkling and fit.

Collar Stays will ensure your collar stays straight, perfectly bridged over your tie and anchor your collar as well.

Most shirts come with a pair or two of plastic ones. Invest in a nice pair of metal (usually brass) ones.
Also if you ever need a screwdriver, very MacGyver-007ish if you pull one from your collar ;)
